Power safer roads for smarter cities.

Mr. Jinghui Yuan is a Ph.D. candidate working on developing real-time crash prediction algorithms for road segments and signalized intersections on urban arterials. He has published multiple papers regarding real-time crash risk prediction on urban arterials by integrating multiple data sources, including Bluetooth, adaptive signal control, Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measure (ATSPM) and weather data. In addition, he has another working paper which aims to predict signal-cycle-level real-time crash risk at signalized intersections more accurately by considering the complicated interaction between different signal phases and traffic flow. Before joining UCF, he has published several papers on the crash prediction of suburban arterials based on historical aggregated data.
